A jetting service (also known as hydro jetting or water jetting) is a professional plumbing and drain-cleaning method that uses a concentrated stream of high-pressure water to scour the interior walls of pipes, break apart tough blockages, and completely flush out debris.
How Jetting Works
• High-Pressure Hose: A specialized, flexible hose with a multi-directional precision nozzle is inserted into the pipe or sewer line via an access point like a manhole or cleanout.
• Forward and Reverse Jets: Forward-facing water jets cut and dislodge solid obstructions (like tree roots or hardened scale), while powerful rear-facing jets propel the nozzle forward and scrub the inner pipe walls clean as the hose retracts.
• Thorough Flushing: Water volumes—measured in GPM (gallons per minute)—and pressure—measured in PSI (pounds per square inch), typically ranging from 1,500 to 4,000 PSI for residential jobs—flush all grease, sludge, and loosened scale completely out of the system.
